The ground shuddered. Noisy sirens were screeching everywhere. Another air-raid. Jack bundled the remains of his sandwich into his pocket and grabbed the hand of his little sister Dora, who was 3 and didn’t really understand air-raids. His brother Peter was already leaving the room.
